Cloud Analyst
The cloud analyst looks after (cost) efficient use of the cloud. They continually evaluate cloud usage from various (financial) angles with the goal to optimise cloud usage and to provide stakeholders with information for value-driven decision-making.

Training and education
A cloud analyst meets the following requirements:
Bachelor’s and master’s degree
Cloud governance training, Cloud TCO-training
Cloud solution architect training (Azure / AWS)
Important skills and knowledge
A cloud analyst:
Has in-depth knowledge of different cloud concepts and the corresponding financial mechanisms, cost drivers etc. – for IaaS, PaaS and SaaS
Has in-depth knowledge of financial processes within the organisation
Has the ability to handle the TCO tools of a public cloud provider
Is able to work with different cloud management dashboards
Can compile clear reports for business stakeholders and cloud development teams and use said reports to provide recommendations
Has the means to advise cloud (development) teams and stakeholders proactively and inform them of the financial consequences that can arise from cloud use
