Overview
“You build it, you run it”
Using cloud native services and deploying solutions and infrastructure as code changes the traditional siloed way of working towards an integration of solution development and operations.
Creating or rearchitecting solutions by DevOps teams or suppliers using cloud native services requires guidance and support regarding:
- cloud native design and automation;
- making smart choices in the wide range of cloud native services;
- the use of centralised and shared services;
- the creation and re-use of service blueprints;
- architectural principles, processes and guidelines;
- the required qualities, such as performance, security and availability;
- providing insight into expected costs.
This support to the teams should create uniformity, consolidation and supportability of used services.
For onboarding SaaS applications, the same guidance is necessary: support must be secured, integration with other systems must be guaranteed and one must prepare for an exit.
